University of Craiova, Drobeta-Turnu Severin University Center, together with its partners: the “Eugeniu Carada” Doctoral School of Economic Sciences, the “Alexandru Piru” Doctoral School, the Doctoral School of Social and Human Sciences, and the “Academician Radu Voinea” Doctoral School. The interdisciplinary international conference „Sustainability and Innovation: New Horizons of Research” aims to unite researchers, academics, doctoral students, and practitioners from diverse fields. The focus of the conference is to explore new directions in contemporary research, specifically concerning sustainability, innovation, and societal impact. This event will provide a supportive environment for presenting recent scientific findings, exchanging ideas, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations to identify sustainable solutions to current challenges.
The conference will be held in a hybrid format, welcoming participants from various backgrounds, including business practitioners, economic and political decision-makers, university faculty in higher education, as well as students and doctoral candidates in economic fields.
By providing a dedicated platform for scientific dialogue informed by the most recent European and international trends and developments, the conference aspires to stimulate interdisciplinary exchange, foster innovation, and advance research committed to sustainable development. Ultimately, it aims to facilitate meaningful collaboration among specialists across fields and to contribute to the shaping of new horizons in scientific inquiry.

The conference fee is
• EUR 50 or 250 RON, for each participant, until 25.05.2026
The conference fee will cover the costs for the publication of papers in the conference proceedings with ISBN – a maximum of two papers for each participant, conference portfolio and the registration procedures.

After the abstract is accepted, a Book of Abstracts will be published, complete with an ISSN.
The full paper should be between 10 and 12 pages long. Articles that demonstrate higher impact in their scientific fields, as determined by the peer review process, will be published in:
